Hey Alita, I just checked out your new domain (numinous.nu) and I’ve gotta say: I’m surprisingly impressed. The minimalistic design really works. It has this subtle vibe that somehow speaks to me, even if I can’t quite explain why.

That said, I did love the name “velvetdusk” too. I mean, that one had its own kind of magic. But yeah, what you’ve done now feels very intentional and clean. I like it a lot 🙂

Also, your shrines are really interesting. I like the storytelling you’ve done with them. It adds a lot of depth and makes the whole experience feel more... personal and immersive.

Thank you so much, Christina. That really means a lot to me.

Honestly, the minimal design started partly because I was rusty with graphic design and did not have a program that was not a total pain to use. But the more I leaned into simplicity, the more intentional it started to feel, and now I would not change it. I am really glad it resonated with you.

And you are definitely not the only one who liked the velvetdusk name. I made the mistake of Googling it and got a little disenchanted by what came up. That said, I had always planned to move to a .nu domain eventually, and numinous just felt right when I found it. Funny how that happens sometimes.

Thank you, too, for what you said about the shrines. I really wanted them to feel like spaces you can sit with for a while, rather than just pages to read through, so I am really happy that came across.

Thank you again for taking the time to sign.

Alita, I can't tell you how much I love your Sailor Pluto shrine! Just like your Millicent shrine, it invites the visitor to consider the subject from her perspective, looking outward rather than in. Pluto was always one of the more mysterious of the cast, and you've beautifully highlighted what makes her so fascinating. I'll be returning to this site again and again in the future to get lost in it all over again, I'm sure.

And on a more personal level, thank you for the inspiration! I've been stuck on my upcoming Sailor Uranus shrine for a few years now and I finally think I might be able to finish it after visiting your shrine.

PS: love the new domain name, it really suits your collective!

Thank you so much for your kind words, Larissa. That really means a lot.

I really wanted the shrines to feel personal and immersive, more like a space to spend time with the character than just a reference page. There is already so much information out there, so I spent a lot of time thinking about how to keep them from feeling like another wiki.

I am especially glad it resonated with you and even helped with your Sailor Uranus shrine. I would love to see it when it is finished.

And thank you for the kind words about the domain too.
